Tru Niagen® - an exciting new asset in your health regime

NAD+ is a coenzyme found in all living cells but it becomes a diminishing resource as we grow older. That's where Tru Niagen®  can help.

As of this very moment, there are around 37.2 trillion cells in your body, all working their hardest to keep you alive. These tiny building blocks convert food into energy, contain your DNA, give your body its shape, and much, much more.

Of course, all these cells need to be taken care of, to make sure they continue to function well and keep you healthy. And one of the best ways to do this? By supporting them with a key cellular resource called NAD+ (or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide).

What is NAD+ and why is it important?

NAD+ is a coenzyme found in all living cells and involved in more than 400 biological reactions. It helps convert food into energy, repair cell damage, and transmit information all over the body.

First discovered in 1906, it’s been studied for well over 100 years. Yet even today, scientists are still discovering new things about NAD+ and the way it supports and powers the human body.

It’s vital to our health and wellbeing, but it becomes a diminishing resource as we grow older. In fact, it’s estimated we lose up to 50% of our NAD+ reserves between the ages of 40 and 60. For this exact reason, low levels of NAD+ have been associated time and time again with age-related decline.

There are also multiple lifestyle factors which can lead to reduced NAD+ levels. Too much sunlight, too much alcohol, and overeating - to name a few - can all have a negative impact.

Overexposure to stress, injury, and illness is also thought to impact NAD+ levels.. It’s easy to see why it’s so important to make sure your body’s NAD+ supply is supported and ready to go for when you need it!

About Tru Niagen®

Humans naturally reinforce their cell health by consuming molecular precursors through their diet - nutrients our bodies then convert into NAD+. In 2004, work by Professor Charles Brenner revealed the body’s naturally preferred NAD+ precursor, a molecule called nicotinamide riboside (NR).

There was just one problem: NR is hard to find, and ever harder to extract. It’s found in foods such as milk, yeast, and beer, but only in tiny trace amounts. Research and supplementation were nearly impossible for a long time.

However, by 2013 scientists had discovered a way to manufacture a nature identical form of NR. NR has since been patented Niagen® and is the sole active ingredient in the NAD+ supporting supplement called Tru Niagen®

The discovery of NR as an NAD+ precursor was the first big step to realising the potential of supporting NAD+ for health and wellbeing.

Prof. Brenner has been quoted saying that “NAD+ has a role in wellness at every stage. It supports our health from the inside. When NAD+ levels are low, our cells can’t produce the energy they need to support our health as we age”

Every tissue and organ in the body requires NAD+ to function in a normal, healthy way - whether it be your heart, eyes, skin, brain, muscles or hormone producing cells.

How Tru Niagen® can help you achieve your health goals

As you go through life and take advantage of its experiences, your body’s supply of NAD+ will be impacted from time to time.

With 300mg of nicotinamide riboside chloride as its active ingredient, Tru Niagen® has been scientifically researched to support healthy NAD+ levels which, in turn, supports energy levels, tissue repair and general wellness.

The best part? Tru Niagen® has been developed and backed by a team of leading scientists which includes two Nobel prize winners!.

And of course, they aim to bring the health benefits of NR to everyone, no matter their dietary requirements. Tru Niagen® contains no gluten, nuts, caffeine, artificial colours or flavours, or animal byproducts.

Tru Niagen® is not known to have any known side effects or clash with other medication.
